Throughout the
course of the year the monthly fish may change ie, summer months
skipjack & albacore may be added for monthly prizes.
Prizes
A $25 bar tab will go to the winner of the heaviest fish in each
category at the end of each month. In the event of two fish being of
equal weight, the first fish weighed will be awarded the prize. If a
Junior member wins the heaviest fish of the month he or she will receive
a $25 gift voucher.
Weighing of Fish
All fish must be weighed at the Whangarei
Deep Sea Anglers Club to be eligible for prizes. Scales are behind the
bar in the clubrooms, or if required, on the weighstation. When
weighing fish, the angler must present their current membership card and
have one witness verifying the correct weight and species. All records
of catches must then be returned to the bar staff to be posted on the
board in the clubrooms.
ONE FISH ONE CLUB!! No fish may count for more than one club ie, a fish
cannot be weighed for the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club and then
weighed for another Club.
It is your choice as to which Club it is to be counted for.
Eligibility
This contest is only for Recreational fishers who are social or full
members of the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club. Commercial fishers/crayfishers
are not eligible.
Tackle
All tackle must be in accordance with I.G.F.A. Rules.
No droppers and no set lines!
PLEASE NOTE:
As per the WDSAC Club Fishing Rules, only full financial members are
eligible to register any potential Pin fish / Records / First & Heaviest
Fish of the Month. These fish must be weighed on the official Whangarei
Deep Sea Anglers Club scales by a recognised weighmaster, and a catch
sheet must be completed.
