REMEMBRANCE AFTERNOON – SUNDAY 28TH OCTOBER
A Remembrance afternoon is to be held here at the Clubrooms on Sunday 28th October from 2pm for two of our past members who sadly passed away recently. Many of you will no doubt have some stories to share in memory of Phil Mischewski and Murray Nicholls (Nick)
Everyone is welcome and for any enquiries please contact “Chippy” on 027 281 9422

WDSAC JUNIOR TEAM FOR THE 18/19 SEASON
We are seeking applications from Juniors who are interested in representing our Club as part of our Junior Team for the 18/19 season, including representing us at the prestigious Bay of Islands International (light tackle) Yellowtail Tournament in mid June 2019, fishing against Junior teams from both NZ & Australia

We would like to have the team selected as soon as possible so that we have sufficient time to ensure those chosen will be able to fulfil their tasks as Junior Ambassadors of our Club.
This will also allow time for the team to get to know each other and participate in fund raising and other duties as required.

So if you are a Junior Angler, or you know a Junior Angler, and think you/they will be able to fulfil the desired role, please ensure they send an application to the Club Office by Thursday 1st November 2018.

Please note that applicants must be at least 12 years old and must be 16 years or under as at 15th June 2019. They need to provide us with a few words explaining why they feel they should be chosen to represent their Club.

MEMBERSHIPS – DON’T MISS OUT ON THE DISCOUNT!
Yes memberships are due and by now everyone should have received a renewal form. By paying your subs before October 31, you can continue to make savings as in previous years.
Membership fees for the 2018-2019 year are as follows:
Senior membership – $90 (discounted to $75 if paid by October 31)
Family membership (2 adults and dependent children 16 years or under) – $180 (discounted to $150 if paid by October 31).
Junior membership (16 years or under as at 1st Oct 18) – $20
Social membership – $30 (Tutukaka Club – Non fishing, Non voting).

HANDLE CLUB
And yes your handle club membership is also due for renewal – the paltry sum of $5 for the year ensures you keep your handle and of course remain in the handle draws!! If we have not received your renewal fee by 31st October 2018 we will presume that you no longer wish to be a WDSAC Handle Club Member.

CALLING ALL ASPIRING WEIGHMASTERS!!
While we are so very lucky to have an excellent Weighmaster, Steve Ball, from time to time he needs a hand (or two) and he is of course entitled to a break now and then! If you might be able to help out at the weighstation, we would love to hear from you (and yes training will be provided!).
