ASMUSS Combined Trades Tournament

Wow what a tournament – the ASMUSS Combined Trades, held here at Tutukaka over Saturday & Sunday of the Anniversary weekend, saw 109 boats all vying for the $10,000 top prize!

A huge congratulations to the team fishing on Argyll – their 189.6kg Blue Marlin landed by Stephen Harper saw them walk away with the $5,000 Billfish Bonanza.

But it was the team fishing on Patrice who had the biggest smiles – Toni Kelly, Ned Kelly, Audrey Lamb and skipper Tony Gordon.  With 218.6 billfish points for a tag and release Stripey estimated at 90kg to Ned Kelly and a Stripey weighing in at 98.6kg to Audrey Lamb, the team walked away with the $10,000 courtesy of ASMUSS !

You may have spotted “Zambhala” out at the Knights recently and wondered just what they were up to!!  Gareth Hodson from Electronic Navigation Ltd (ENL) writes:-

Some of your members might be interested in the below images we recorded during R&D trials with the new WASSP F3 on Zambhala.

The image is of North Reef (Poor Knights), the first image is showing the Reef bottom Hardness, the second image is in 3D with fish Overlay.

There were a number of boats fishing on the Reef probably wondering what we were up to.
